Nuclear Power:
17 percent of the worlds power comes from nuclear power. However, other countries may depend on nuclear power more than others. For example, 75% of France's power is nuclear. There are about 400 nuclear power plants in the world. More than 100 of them being in the United States. This is how it works; Nuclear fission makes heat-->Heat water to make steam-->Steam turns turbines-->Turbines turn generaters-->Electrical power sent around country.
There are some benefits and down sides to using nuclear power. Some of those benefits being: not exspensive, does not produce smoke or carbon dioxide into the air, lots of energy from a small amount of fuel, small amounts of waste, is reliable. Some of the down sides are: the waste that is produced, although it is a small amount is very very dangerous. Also a lot of money is spent on safety.
